Some quotations from the book: “Defending a Higher Law”.

The book's subtitle is : Why We Must Resist Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ and the Homosexual Movement.
[ 211 pages] [ Reference: ISBN 1-877905-33-x; published by The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family
and Property, Spring Grove, Penn. 17362 ]

Note: Our motivations for presenting this information here [as is stated as in the book above] are not based on " ...
personal hatred against any individual.  In intellectually opposing individuals or organizations promoting the
homosexual agenda, our only intent is the defense of marriage, the family and the precious remnants of Christian
civilization in society".  [page xv, text listed above].

In the quoted texts below, the references as given by the superscripts may be found in the book itself.
If there are any typo’s, the text of the book is to be referenced.  You are encouraged to obtain a copy of this text for

Answering 12 Arguments used to push the Homosexual Agenda

  1. Argument: “We’re equal in the eyes of the law, so we are getting married!”

Answer:  “It is true that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law. This equality, however, is juridical, not biological.  It does not and indeed cannot eliminate the anatomical and psychological differences between the sexes. It is these very differences that create the conditions for marriage and constitute its natural foundation.

Regarding marriage, juridical equality means that all those with the natural capacity to marry have the right to
do so.  This juridical equality does not create the conditions required by nature for marriage.  Now the conjugal act
is intrinsically related to marriage, and nature requires two individuals from opposite sexes for its performance.

This natural requirement is totally lacking in two people of the same sex who wish to marry, so the principle of equality under the law doe not apply.”

[ from  page 95-96, Defending a Higher Law]

  1. Argument: “Same-sex ‘marriage’ does not threaten traditional marriage. They can coexist side by side.”

Answer: “It is said that vice asks for nothing more that to sit next to virtue.  When vice is allowed to peacefully coexist with virtue, the later is corrupted.  Virtue is only integral as along as it virgously combats its opposite.

Same-sex ‘marriage’ destroys the integrity of true marriage by turning traditional marriage into a species within the marriage genus.  This broad marriage genus would supposedly encompass traditional marriage, homosexual or heterosexual unions, and whatever other bizarre new relationships might arise.  This new marriage genus, however, is not marriage.

Marriage is the permanent, sacred bond uniting a man and woman who desire to constitute a family and face life’s trials together.  Marriage entails selfless dedication, devotion and sacrifice.  Marriage and the family are sacred institutions that foster the common good of society.

The legalization of same-sex ‘marriage’ and it placement on an equal footing with traditional marriage subverts and destroys the latter.  When public authority and society in general deny true marriage’s uniqueness and irreplaceable contribution to the common good, and when individuals can find its legal incentives and rewards more easily in counterfeits, then true marriage is on the road to extinction.”

[ from page 95-96, Defending a Higher Law]

  1. Argument: “Same-sex ‘marriage’ is opposed today as interracial marriage was opposed fifty years ago.  It’s pure prejudice.”

Answer: “This contention is false.  First of all, one cannot compare two essentially different realities.  A man and a woman of different races are not comparable to two men or two women.

A man and a woman wanting to marry may be completely different in their characteristics: one may be black, the other white; one rich, the other poor; one learned, the other not; one tall, the other short; or one may be famous, the other unknown.  None of these differences are insurmountable obstacles to marriage.  The two individuals are still man and woman, and thus the requirements of nature are respected.

Same-sex ‘marriage’ opposes nature.  Two individuals of the same sex, regardless of their race, wealth, stature, erudition or fame, will never be able to marry because of an insurmountable biological impossibility.

There is simply no analogy between the interracial marriage of a man and a woman and the ‘marriage’ between tow individuals of the same sex.

Secondly, inherited and unchangeable racial traits cannot be compared with non-generic and changeable behavior.”
